Thilo Mardaus writes scripts and texts for television, radio and stage and was part of the writing teams of successful comedy shows such as “Die Wochenshow” or “Was guckst du! Japan expert
Thilo Mardaus studied Japanese Studies in Heidelberg, Berlin and Tokyo. He translates and interprets from Japanese into German and English and deals with various aspects of Japanese culture and history. In addition to film and television, as a holder of the 2nd Dan in Aikido he also focuses on traditional martial arts.

Translator
Thilo Mardaus translates from Japanese, English and French. In recent years, he has provided translations for a variety of feature films, series and documentaries – including the 2016 Oscar winner, “Moonlight”.
